Life
Groups
A Place To Belong
Why
Life Groups?
At Christ Church, we consider Life Groups to be a significant core value in
our church. This is where important ministry takes place as we encourage, support
and challenge one another in smaller groups. God doesn't want any of us to
be on the path alone. We need each other.
We are created by a relational God, and we have a need for deep, significant
connections. Through Life Groups, we try to create environments where authentic
community can take place. We want to have transforming communities where people
are experiencing oneness with God and oneness with one another.
What
Is A Life Group?
A Life Group is a group of people who meet weekly to study, share, and support
one another in their Christian lives. Each group is led by a trained leader.
A typical meeting will last for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours followed by light refreshments.
What
Do Life Groups Study?
Each group determines what they will study. Most groups do "Grow Groups" which
are lessons developed from our weekend sermons. Once or twice a year, Christ
Church has a Spiritual Growth Emphasis where everybody in the church (adults,
youth and children) all study the same material.
When
and Where Do Groups Meet?
Christ Church Life Groups meet on various days and nights throughout the community.
How
Can I Get Connected To A Life Group?
" Let
us not give up meeting together, as some are in the
habit
of doing, but let us encourage one another -
and all the more as
you see the day approaching." – Hebrews
10:25
